Mail Merge and Personalization
What is Personalization?
Personalization is a powerful way to give each email you send out a personal touch. Instead of
addressing an email to sad123@hotmail.com it can be addressed to Sadie Birch. Plus, MailListBot
can change the body of a message for each and every recipient on your mailing list.
What can be Personalized?
There are three parts of an email that can be personalized
- From address
Each email can be addressed to a "friendly name"
instead of the email address. For example, (screenshot 1)
is addressed to John Doe instead of jdoe@exclamationsoft.com
(screenshot 2).
- Message Body
The body of the message can be altered and personalized for each recipient. For example,
the body in (screenshot 1) starts off with "Dear John Doe," instead
of the unpersonalized "Dear Sir," in (screenshot 2).
- Subject
The subject of the message can be altered and personalized for each recipient. For example,
the body in (screenshot 1) starts off with "Dear John Doe," instead
of the unpersonalized "Dear Sir," in (screenshot 2).
