SmtpServer.TimeoutConnect Property

Specifies the Connection timeout in milliseconds.

Property Value

An integer value between 1 and 999999 that represents the number of milliseconds that connection to the mail server should pass before timing out.

Remarks

The default value is 5000 (5 seconds). This timeout is used to set the amount of time before an operation times out when connecting to the mail server and passing commands to that server such as message addressing. It is not the timeout for sending the actual message data including attachments which require more time before timing out.
