Help - More on the Status Indicators

Go Back to the Table of Contents

The status indicator is a visual cue of the current success or failure of RemoteBot.  There are six traffic light states:

    1.   The green light indicates that there are currently no errors.
    2.   The green light with a blue background indicates that there are currently no errors and a requested task has been responded to, e.g., a file from another computer has successfully downloaded.  When this icon appears, look for a smaller similar icon in the task list.
    3.   The red light indicates that a problem has occurred.  Most often the red light will appear when RemoteBot cannot connect to the mail server or when your computer is not connected to the internet.  Check the status message for a complete description.
    4.   The red light with a yellow background indicates that an error has occurred with one or more tasks.  Check the task list for tasks with a similar icon, then check the properties of that task for detail on why the task had an error.
    5.   The yellow light indicates that RemoteBot is busy communicating with the mail server.
    6.   The exclamation point indicates that RemoteBot is busy performing actions requested by tasks.  This may include processing a request from another computer, gathering directory information or decompressing a file.
