Drill Down
WebWatchBot drills down by monitoring more than just summary information by focusing in on:
  • Connecting to an SMTP mail server.
  • Creating an email message with common message parts that can be sent or tested against the SMTP mail server.
  • Authenticating with the mail server.

How it Works
  • WebWatchBot connects to an SMTP mail server.
  • If provided, SMTP authentication credentials are provided to the SMTP mail server.
  • Invalid SMTP authentication credentials trigger an error.
  • The message is addressed with TO and FROM email addresses.
  • Invalid email addresses, as determined by the SMTP mail server, can trigger an error.
  • Optionally, email message subject and body are provided for futher validation, e.g. message size.
