Summary

Grouping data by "Day of Week", showing trend, will group all data that share the same day of the week for any day, month or year.  For example, if 10 data points are collected on January 1, 2004 (Thursday), and 20 data points are collected on February 8, 2004 (Thursday),  all 30 data points will be grouped (averaged) for Thursday. 

Why Choose This Data Option Setting?

To chart and analyze trends in historical data for a watch item based on the day of the week.  Peaks in the charted data may indicate, during specific days of the week, heavy traffic affects overall response time. 

For example, a website running a promotion every Monday may show above average response time on that day, due to increased traffic.
