HTTP/HTTPS data collection settings determine the type and condition for collecting data for each run of the watch item.

Fields and Buttons

Download page and images

• If checked, when the watch item is run, the page and images will be downloaded - this can affect the response time since it will take more time to download images in addition to the page itself. 
• If not checked, only the page will be downloaded. 
• WebWatchBot will download and temporarily cache the page and images (if selected) for viewing in the Ouput View of the Preview Pane or to send in email alerts.

Save HTML output from successful watches (*May consume disk space rapidly*)

The page and images (if selected) of each successful run of the watch item will be saved to disk.  This is useful if you need to track changes to a web page.

Save HTML output from failed watches

The page and images (if selected) of each failed run of the watch item will be saved to disk.  This is useful if you need to track changes to a web page.

Remove Javascript from downloaded page

Removes HTML code from downloaded page between and including the <script> and </script> tags.  This is useful to prevent unwanted pop-up windows from appearing in the Output pane window and the Test Watch Item dialog.

Test

The current settings will be used to run a test on the watch item but will not affect the overall success.  By clicking this button, the "Test Watch Item" dialog box will appear.
