• CPU:
  Minimum: 300 MHz Pentium®/AMD
  Recommended: Pentium® III or AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz processor or faster
• Memory:
  Minimum: 128 MB Minimum
  Recommended: 512 MB or more
• Hard Drive Space:
  20 MB Minimum - as data is collected, disk space usage will increase 
• Video:
  Any Windows®-compatible video card
  Recommended setting 1024x768, more than 256 colors
• Sound:
  Windows®-compatible sound card - recommended but not required

1 Windows may have overriding/higher requirements which take precedence over WebWatchBot requirements.

Software Requirements

• MDAC 2.8 or higher required:
• MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components), provided by Microsoft, is required in order to install and use WebWatchBot on Windows 98/ME.  Visit http://www.Microsoft.com/data to download and install the newest version of MDAC.
• NOTE: Windows OS/Software and Default MDAC version:
• Windows Server 2003 - 2.8
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a - 2.71 SP1 Refresh
• SQL Server 2000 SP2 - 2.6 SP2
• SQL Server 2000 SP1 - 2.6.1
• Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 - 2.5 SP3
• Internet Explorer v4.0 or higher required

Windows 2000/XP/2003 Special Requirements

• Run as a Windows Application:
•      The logged in user must have full control and permission to manipulate files in the directories:
• System Temporary Directory
• \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
• \Program Files\WebWatchBot
• The logged in user must have permission to read, write, and create keys the system registry. 
• Run as a Windows Service:
• WebWatchBot installs its Windows Service component, named WWBServer. 

NOTE FOR V3.0.2 AND OLDER: WWBServer must log in under the "Local System Account" Account. This should not be changed. Additionally, the SYSTEM ("Local System Account"), must be set to interact with the desktop. 

NOTE FOR V3.0.3 AND NEWER: If you change the logged in user account, ensure to reflect this change below, substituting SYSTEM with the specified user account. 

• The SYSTEM ("Local System Account") account must have FULL CONTROL permission in the directories and sub-directories:System Temporary Directory \Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data 
• The SYSTEM ("Local System Account") account must have READ, WRITE, EXECUTE permission in the directories and sub-directories:  \Program Files\WebWatchBot 2\ 
• The SYSTEM ("Local System Account") account must have permission to read, write, and create keys the system registry.
• You should check current known issues if you plan on running WebWatchBot as a service.
