... is a tool built-in to all modern "GUI-based" Windows operating systems and can be accessed easily.

 

To Open a DOS Command Window On Windows 95 / 98 / Me:

 

  1. Click on the Windows "Start" button 
  2. Select "Programs" 
  3. Select "MS-DOS Prompt" 

 

To Open a DOS Command Window On Windows NT / 2000 / XP / 2003:

 

  1. Click on the Windows "Start" button 
  2. Select "Programs" 
  3. Select "Accessories" 
  4. Select "Command Prompt"
