Database Access Parameters

 

NetMailBot has a number of parameters which make it easy to connect to an ODBC compliant database containing the email addresses to which you want to send email (click on each to go to its page in the Parameters section):

 

• -dsn - specifies the Data Source Name (DSN) for the database from which you wish to import email addresses
• -dbtable - specifies the database table containing the email addresses
• -dbemailcolumn - specifies the column, in the table specified by -dbtable, that contains the email addresses
• -dbuseaddressee - specifies which addressing field - "To:", "CC:", or "BCC:" - should be used when applying the email addresses from the database

 

Steps Involved in Using Database Access Parameters

 

1. Set up an ODBC DSN
2. Create your batch file
3. Add the required parameters (-to, -from, -server) and, optionally, -subject
4. Add the database access parameters above
