NetMailBot, a 32-bit application, will run on 32-bit as well as 64-bit Windows. 64-bit Windows OSs emulate 32-bit mode, allowing them to run (refer to: Running 32-bit Applications from MSDN)
CPU Minimum: 200 MHz Pentium®/AMD
Recommended: Pentium® III or AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz processor or faster
Memory Minimum: 32 MB Minimum
Recommended: 64 MB
Hard Drive Space 3 MB Minimum
Video Any Windows®-compatible video card
Recommended setting at least 640 x 480, 16 colors
Sound Windows®-compatible sound card - recommended but not required
Virtual Machine Support NetMailBot is compatible with both VM-Ware and Microsoft Virtual Server/PC and Hyper-V. NetMailBot can be installed on a virtual machine with the above requirements. Virtual Machines are not considered, by us, to be any different than a physical machine.

Other Requirements

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3a - 2.71 SP1 Refresh
  • SQL Server 2000 SP2 - 2.6 SP2
  • SQL Server 2000 SP1 - 2.6.1
  • Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 - 2.5 SP3
  • Windows 98/ME/NT should download and install the newest version of MDAC.
Network Access
  • Internet connection
  • TCP/IP must be installed (If you are connected to the Internet, then you most likely have TCP/IP installed)
  • SMTP server address, e.g. mail.domain.com, smtp.domain.com (Ask your ISP or systems administrator)
  • Proxy client software if behind a proxy server. (Ask your systems administrator if you are behind a proxy server)
  • Firewall Port 25 must be open for inbound and outbound traffic.(Ask your systems administrator if you are behind a firewall)
